Feed integration instructions

The implementation takes minutes. If you have not yet received it, myCREOpoint™ can develop upon request a sharable widget HTML or RSS feed with your own custom branding.

You can then easily paste it into your reader or web Content Management System. Two simple ways to embed myCREOpoint widget on your site after you further customize it (set your parameters in green below):

Method 1. Widget HTML code

Place following HTML code to your web site where you would like widget to appear.

<iframe src="http://myCREOpoint.com/widgets/widgetid?height=400&width=320&r=0&s=1,2,3,4,5,6" name="widget" width="320" marginwidth="0" height="400" marginheight="0" align="top" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" hspace="0" vspace="0">Browser not compatible.</iframe>

Widget URL parameters

Height - widget height in pixels (required)
Width - widget width pixels (required)
r - source authority level (optional)

0 - All
1 - myCREOpicks
s - comma separated list of sources (optional)

LoadCSS (optonal) - custom CSS theme file URL. Value must be UrlEncoded. If not specified, loads default theme.

iFrame height and width must match widget height and width.

Custom CSS theme (for advanced users only)

By default, HTML comes with standard theme. You can use custom CSS theme file to further customize widget to match your web site – e.g. background color, font sizes, colors etc. See sample css theme file below:

h1 {font-weight: 400; color: #333; margin: 0 0 12px 0; font-size: 1.2em;}
.widget {background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFF; border-radius: 5px 5px 5px 5px;}
.widget li {border-bottom: 1px solid #EFEFEF; margin: 0 0 12px; padding: 0 0 6px;}
.widget li h2 {font-weight: 400; margin: 0; text-overflow: ellipsis; word-wrap: break-word; overflow: hidden; max-height: 2em; line-height: 1em; font-size: 1em;}
.widget li a {color: #293189; text-decoration: none; }
.widget li a:hover {color: #171C4E; }

Host CSS file in your server and use file URL as loadCSS parameter value to overwrite default theme.

Method 2. RSS/JSON/XML Feed

Most Content Management Systems have RSS feed module that allows one to consume and display feeds on the site.
Use any of following feed URLs:

RSS feed: http://mycreopoint.com/feeds/[widgetid]/?fmt=rss&r=0&s=1,2,3,4,5,6

JSON feed: http://mycreopoint.com/feeds/[widgetid]/?fmt=json&r=0&s=1,2,3,4,5,6

XML feed: http://mycreopoint.com/feeds/[widgetid]/?fmt=xml&r=0&s=1,2,3,4,5,6
